HISTORY

1946

Nazareno Gismondi establishes Tecla Varese, an artisan footwear workshop.

1965

Luigi Gismondi, Nazareno’s son, joins his father in the running of the company, which changes its name to Calzaturificio Tecla di Gismondi Nazareno e Luigi.

1975 – 1980

The company becomes Calzaturificio Novarese di Luigi Gismondi and in the space of a few years begins partnerships with international brands.

1992

The company launches Rizzente, a luxury footwear line which ends, however, three years later.

1996

Partnerships with high fashion brands increase through production agreements and production licenses.

1999

The third generation of Gismondis – Andrea, Marilena and Mauro, Luigi’s children – join the company, and Calzaturificio Novarese S.r.l is launched.

2005

The company creates D-S!DE, a line of customizable sports footwear.

2010

The launch of O’Keeffe, a luxury footwear brand combining exquisite craftsmanship and Irish design, with patented Good Year Flex soles.

2013

Samuele Trippetta joins the company as Head of Production.

2016

The company moves to new premises and launches a lean management project in collaboration with VIT Institute.
